Job Overview

As a Design Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry you will leverage your expertise to develop and implement effective engineering designsand optimize systems components and processes related to natural gas extraction transportation and distribution. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design natural gas systems and components including pipelines compressors valves and storage facilities.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards codes and regulations.
• Lead and manage design projects from concept to completion.
• Coordinate with crossfunctional teams including project managers construction teams and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare project schedules budgets and reports.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects.
• Perform technical calculations and simulations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs.
• Analyze and troubleshoot design issues and recommend solutions.
• Ensure all designs meet environmental and safety regulations.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation for regulatory approvals.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards in the natural gas industry.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of designs.
• Conduct inspections and tests on materials and components used in projects.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any designrelated issues.
• Identify opportunities for improving design processes and methodologies.
• Stay informed about advancements in technology and industry best practices.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering Civil Engineeringor a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years ofexperience in Oil & Gas specificallyin the areas of natural gas (NG) (LPG) or (CNG).
• Engineering Masters degree is a plus.
• Strong communication skills capable of effectively interacting with clients and team members.
• Excellent customer focus and a dedication to meeting the needs of stakeholders.
• Proven time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
