Job Description:

• Coordinates total nursing care for patients participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting for assigned units (operating room)
• Responsible for delivery of patient care as a member of the surgical team and assumes appropriate responsibility for delivery of that care before during and after surgery for a wide variety of surgical procedures including but not limited to endocrine breast and oncologic surgical procedures as well as gastrointestinal and colon and rectal (both open and laparoscopic) and hepatobiliary procedures.
• Assist with Scrubbing
• Must demonstrate clinical competence by utilizing the nursing process
• Must assess and identify patient problems/needs
• Responsible for assisting supporting and educating patients
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively
• EMR: Epic
• Dress code: Solid scrubs of any color no logos
