Cloud Engineer - Azure Cloud Design

Position: Senior Cloud Engineer Azure Cloud Design

Job Location: Chicago IL

Responsibilities:

• Design implement and manage cloud infrastructure solutions using leading cloud service providers such as Azure AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead the migration of onpremises infrastructure to cloud environments ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop cloud architecture standards and best practices.
• Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and trends evaluating their potential impact on our infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure configurations processes and procedures.

• Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field.
• Minimum 810 years of experience in designing implementing and managing cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as Azure AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VNETs NSGs VPN Gateways VPN and load balancers.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices including CI/CD pipelines automated testing and infrastructure automation.
• Solid understanding of security best practices for cloud environments including identity and access management encryption and compliance standards.
• Experience with highperformance applications within public cloud environments.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
• Leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
• Microsoft certification: Azure Solutions Architect (AZ305) certification preferred.
