Position: SQL Developer

Duration 3 Months will be extended after fiscal year

Location: Montgomery Alabama (Onsite from Day 1)

Position Description

• Requires full proficiency in TSQL as identified by the development manager. Create Stored Procedures
• SSIS ETL Packages
• Unit tests
• Documentation of developed code
• Status updates as requested by the Project Manager and Development Manager. Ability to write advanced SQL commands.
• Ability to test and troubleshoot database procedures and ETL Packages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Elicit data requirements by assisting with interviews document analysis data requirements workshops Data process descriptions use cases Data analysis task and workflow analysis.
• SQL Servers version 2012 and later
• Develop new SSIS/SSRS packages to meet business needs. Experience in writing complex SQL queries stored procedures functions and triggers. Has the ability to receive a request from the business and translate that into a query/ad hoc report independently. Has the ability to review table structures and understand the database Has the ability to review existing stored procedures and SSIS packages to understand processes

Skills Required

• Proficiency using SQL database including SSIS. Create Stored Procedure Views Triggers Functions TSQL Indexes Cursors Performance Tuning and SQL Profiler.
• Including writing of complex queries using SQL Participate in the ongoing development and support of existing production system both technically and functionally.
• Work closely with other developers or and analysts to ensure development meets requirements and delivers optimal performance to our end users.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and SMEs to scope the opportunities identify constraints and help mitigate risks.
• Research and adapt technical solutions based on changing business needs. Provide technical mentoring for team members as needed.
• Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency. Researches evaluates and recommends new Internet tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently.
• Develop automated tests to use for regression and unit testing. Proficiency using SQL database including SSIS.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge in SSRS to develop reports

Experience Required

• 5 years experience with extensive knowledge of Agile process development in .Net MVS and SQL Working handson with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle Ability to document code developed by analyst Experience with project development methodology and able to apply methodology in a practical manner

Experience Preferred

• 7 years of experience in SQL development experience
• 5 years of experience in Stored Procedures
• SSIS ETL Packages
• 5 years of experience in ETL development
• 5 years of experience in tools for data extraction and migration

Education Required

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience
