ABOUT: We are a 25 bed multispecialty medical clinic and rehabilitation center located in beautiful rural Craig CO. Located just 45 miles west of Steamboat Springs CO Ski Resort. Craig offers many opportunities for local outdoor recreation camping rafting paddle boarding kayaking skiing/snowboarding mountain biking hunting fishing etc.We provide L4 ED care inpatient care diagnostic imaging surgery laboratory special care unit cardiopulmonary oncology and chemotherapy services and more.SHIFT: Days 40 hours guaranteedCERTS: BLS o Active Colorado Occupational Therapy License or valid compact license.EMR: EPICHOUSING: Leads uploaded into our Medefis account under facility group documentsJOB DESCRIPTION: Occupational Therapist working primarily with outpatient pediatrics outpatient adults and some subacute inpatient adults as needed.MRH Rehab is looking for a fulltime mixed setting Inpatient adult/Outpatient pediatrics & adult occupational therapist who values patient care team collaboration and has a growth mindset. We offer 45 minute oneonone treatments 1 hour evaluations and paid documentation time in a fun and professional environment. Craig offers many opportunities for local outdoor recreation camping rafting paddle boarding kayaking skiing/snowboarding mountain biking hunting fishing etc. Why sit in traffic driving to the mountains when you can live hereEssential Functions and Basic DutiesPosition Specific Performance Expectations: Meets the patients goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and interdisciplinary team. Helps patient develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities by implementing programs involving practice in functional prevocational vocational and homemaking skills activities of daily living and sensorimotor educational recreational and social activities. Issue adaptive equipment and customized splints as deemed necessary. Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to individuals physical capacity intelligence level and interest. Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing noting and evaluating patients progress; recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications. Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians nurses social workers and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences. Documents patient care services via EMR charting using defensible documentation in a timely and concise manner in compliance with industry standards. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Develops rehab and hospital staff by providing information; developing and conducting inservice training. Complies with federal state & local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence; advising management on needed actions. Strives to: promote health create a safe and effective treatment environment motivate others have a good bedside manner listen analyze information and be quality focused. Participates in ongoing professional development to maintain a level of clinical practice consistent with best practice standards. This includes seeking opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills and utilizing these newly acquired skills in the provision of care and for growth and development of the department and hospital. Critically assesses self to improve clinical and professional performance. Advocates for the occupational therapy profession. Schoolbased occupational therapists (in addition to above expectations): Collaborate with the schoolbased team to help determine and carryout Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); identify a student s annual goals and determine the services supports modifications and accommodations that are required for the student to achieve them. Home health physical therapists (in addition to above expectations): Provide inhome occupational therapy services to homebound patients and work in collaboration with the home health interdisciplinary team. Performs other duties assigned. Organization Wide Performance Expectations: Demonstrates commitment to performing according to the CHOICE values of MRH and representing the organization in a positive and professional manner. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Upholds regulatory requirements to ensure continual compliance with departmental hospital state and federal regulations and policies. Follows all policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients public and staff. Completes annual education training inservice and licensure/certification requirements; attends departmental and organizational staff meetings or reads meeting minutes. Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated timeframes. Establishes and maintains effective verbal and written communication and good working relationships with all patients staff and vendors. Utilizes initiative; strives to maintain steady level of productivity; selfmotivated; manages activity & time. Actively participates in departmental and facility performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives. QualificationsMinimum Requirements: Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions) Must be able to legally work in the United States Must be able to pass a background check Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable) Must complete employee health meeting Education/Licensure/Certification: Active Colorado Occupational Therapy License (DORA) or valid compact license Current CPR(BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire per MRH Policy) Valid Driver s License (Home Health only) Experience: New graduates welcome to Position Classification: NonexemptCompensation Range: BR to BR Benefits: Medical Dental Life Retirement Paid Time Off
