Job Responsibilities
Maintain echocardiography services in accordance with standards established by the American Society of Echocardiography as well as State and Federal agencies.
Daily technical operation of the laboratory.
Working with the Medical Director medical staff and technical staff to ensure quality patient care.
Perform echo exams on patients as ordered by physicians with first priority given to trauma and critically ill patients.
Select proper ultrasound techniques to provide optimum quality ultrasounds.
Position and instruct patients regarding procedures.
Copy studies to disc as needed for review.
Adhere to Porter Hospital and Cardiology Department policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintain equipment and supplies.
Maintain required records documents and statistics.
Participate in both inservice and out service professional educational programs.
Attend cardiology department meeting
