Job Description

The Role:
We are seeking Registrars Medicine who are passionate about pursuing General and Acute Care Medicine (BPT positions also available) you will be joining an accredited Level 3 teaching 500 bed hospital, with a strong physician training program.

The Department of General and Acute Care Medicine is the largest inpatient medical unit on average 100-120 inpatients and admit approximately 15 to 20 per day across 6 General Medical teams including a Rapid Assessment Medical Unit (RAMU) and another unit based in the Emergency Medicine department.

The Department of General and Acute Care Medicine sits within the Medical and Cancer Services stream which also includes cardiology, cardio-thoracic surgery, respiratory medicine, neurology/stroke, renal medicine, gastroenterology, oncology, haematology, endocrinology, nephrology, rheumatology, and an ambulatory care centre.

The Hospital:
The Hospital is the tertiary referral centre for the state, it provides a hospital service for a catchment of 250,000. The $689 million redevelopment has transformed Australia s second oldest hospital into a state-of-the-art health facility for generations of the locals to come.

The Location:

Qualifications required:
  • General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
