Head Supply Chain Management Cutting Tools

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to preside over all Plants and Ancillaries of JK Files for Supply Chain function of Cutting Tools. The role holder will be responsible for Supply Chain Activities like Sourcing Procurement Planning will play very vital role by making timely availability of material across all categories of revenue stream like Cutting Tools. Healthy and balanced Inventory management will ensure better working capital smooth cash flow and erosion of margins.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE

Operations:
To ensure timely availability of materials as per the production / business plan and activities involved will be placement of order based on inputs from Supply Chain Planning expediting and monitoring vendor performance settlement of payment and back charges. Procurement of various grades of Steel Semi finished products for base business Consumables Packaging CAPEX items Hand Tools.

Sourcing:
New vendor identification & development
Negotiations & finalization of Rate contracts with suppliers on basis of Price Volumes Complexity of biz
Vendor Performance Management & improvement of vendor ratings.
Spent analysis & improvement in it
Cost Management & cost savings across all sourcing
Work in tandem with CFT Product Managers Function Heads on RM Consumables packaging Logistic Administrative IT plant processing CAPEX & related to sourcing
Conflict & issues resolution related to Vendor supplies & ensure smooth flow of supplies. Overcome bottlenecks

Procurement:
Day to day procurement & follow up with suppliers for various revenue stream. Building up Team and professional interaction with team mates. Alignment on lead time to supplies with Lead Planning & Product Managers for various category of supplies
Cover complete scope of supplies & availability from release of PO to receipt of material
Timely input to Sourcing Planning Manufacturing & Product Managers on availability of materials & RED Flags
Preparation of vendor score card and inputs to sourcing Function Heads and Product Managers
Monitoring complete Purchase Cycle.
Prepare long term contracts for medium domestic/international source for various components needs over a reasonable period of time.
Interaction with Finance department for budgeted payments based on cash flow
Regular interaction at the shop floor level to understand product performance for specific understanding of latent & intricate needs
Should be familiar with various International & National developments in the ever changing situation like steel Oil Gas industries Auto industries Secondary market place.
Inventory Control as per Working Capital & Budget will be one of the KEY task

Technical & Professional Knowledge required

Business Acumen and Analysis of Data
Familiar with various taxes duties product performance trials will be added advantage.
Hands on experience on day to day Procurement knowledge of various manufacturing process
Knowledge of supply chain management procurement & business cycle having out of box vision
Technical competency of negotiations instead of traditional purchase
International procurement would be of added advantage Familiar with various international laws for procurement would be added advantage
Understand growing business & timely procurement of material as per forecast and plan
Contract Negotiations & negotiations skills
Excellent communication Presentation and interpersonal skills

Education Qualification

B.E. (Mechanical /Production/Industrial Eng.). MBA in supply chain /Operations preferred.

Experience required

• 12 to 15 years of experience in SCM function with a company of repute preferably in the Manufacturing Industry.
• Current assignment as the HOD of the function or a Second in Line since last 35 years
• Handled 2 3 Manufacturing units and multiple ancillaries in different geographies of India
• Handled SCM function for Domestic international market & managed subcontract activities
