About the role
As a Product Owner/Business Analyst, your primary responsibility is to drive a product roadmap for a SaaS-based platform which provides residency and fellowship matching services to specialties and subspecialties across the spectrum of medicine. You will be asked to gain a deep understanding of industry domain and key business metrics to generate new product ideas. This position will work cooperatively with business stakeholders and the engineering team as well as sales. A high degree of independence and excellent communication skills are expected.
Responsibilities
- Gain a deep understanding of the industry domain, user experience, and key business
- drivers of a SaaS-based product to generate new product ideas for improving
- customer experience and driving growth
- Manage and drive the product roadmap by analyzing business requirements,
- customer-oriented and business-focus metrics, competitor studies, and recent trends in
- HR-Tech
- Tightly collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to support agile
- product delivery by contributing to sprint and release cycles
- Own and manage the product backlog by defining user stories, prioritizing product
- features, reviewing test case development and architecture design
- Monitor the availability of new technology and software applications to develop new data
- tools that will enhance the matching experience
- Create user flows, customer journey maps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes,
- prototypes, detailed UI and visual design specifications, and engage with UI/UX
- designer on mockups
- Study existing papers and reports to evaluate trends in applicant and program
- matching process
- Lead meetings with business stakeholders to present sprint deliverables and discuss
- further requirements and feedback
- Follow, maintain, and improve product documentation
- Serve as Product Owner of an Agile/Scrum team
- Ability to flex working hours to accommodate a geographically dispersed team
Required skills and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or business.
- 4+ Experience working as the Product Owner/Business Analyst of a SaaS product
- (preferably related to HR tech)
- Experience in data-driven product management by analyzing and building various
- product metrics
- Skilled in Agile/SCRUM framework and experience in leading complex projects
- using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience using various tools such as Figma, Jira, Confluence, Miro, Trello, etc.
- Understanding of web concepts and technologies
- Excellent customer service skills with experience presenting product features
- Skilled in handling product discussions with different stakeholders
- Self-starter attitude, with an ability to remain focused in a dynamic environment
- while maintaining a strong commitment to accuracy, timeliness, and focus on the
- customer
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
