Founding Software Engineer (Golang) | Tech for Good Start-Up (Remote)

Job Title: Founding Software Engineer (Golang)

Location: Fully Remote (+/- 4 hours of GMT)

Compensation: £90,000 - £130,000 plus equity (DOE)

Campbell North have partnered with an exciting Tech for Good start-up, who are looking to hire Founding Software Engineers using Golang. They a hiring both a Principal Engineer, as well as Mid-Senior Engineers too.

The firm are looking to empower African businesses to grow, by eliminating friction while making or receiving payments. They are aiming to do this by creating a B2B platform, which you would drive the creation of. You will be responsible for designing and building the platform end-to-end, having autonomy over your work. The Principal Engineer will also have the opportunity to scale out the engineering team.

Who you are:

• You are a software engineer with 3+ years professional experience using Golang.
• You ideally have previous FinTech experience, or experience at firms with a strong technical reputation.
• You take a pragmatic approach to software engineering - code will be released into production daily.

The tech stack

• The backend is written entirely in Golang.
• The frontend is built using React.
• Postgres for data storage and models are defined in Protobuf.
• Kafka and gRPC are used for messaging.
• All of their code runs on Kubernetes in AWS.
• Terraform is used for managing their infra and CI/CD requirements.
