POSITION SUMMARY:
The Treasury and Funds Management Assistant handles cashiering functions of the company. Duties involves acceptance of payments thru cash check and credit card transactions prepare dep slips for all the collection received and releases checks to suppliers/contractors during check releasing. He/ She is responsible in issuance of Official process all cash/check collections on next banking day and prepare collections report and summarizes all checks released to suppliers and contractors during check releasing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Receiving of payments
- Accepts payments thru check or cash and issues Official receipts as proof of receipt of payment
- Prepares dep slip covering all collections during the day for processing to companys bank account
- Accepts records and transmit postdated check to EWB for warehousing of checks for safety purposes
- Promptly prepares Collection report with validated dep slips to report total collection of the day.
- Daily update the Official receipt files to provide an accurate reference for Official receipt inquiries from customer and management.
2. Releasing of checks to suppliers/contractors
- Releases checks on the assigned schedule of check releasing to suppliers and contractors
- Checks and validates the Official receipt issued by supplier/contractor to ensure complete and accurate.
- Transmit vouchers or released checks with corresponding Official receipts for each
- Check allotted budget before releasing to avoid overdraft of account.
- Tagging of released checks in Check Releasing System to monitor released checks for funding and unreleased checks at the end of the month.
- Provide prompt and courteous reply to queries of internal and external customers to provide good customer service
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- College Graduate preferably with an accounting background
- At least 1 or 2 years of cashiering experience
