Position Overview:
As an Echocardiogram Technologist you will perform cardiac ultrasound diagnostic procedures as ordered by our esteemed staff physicians with minimal supervision from the Imaging Management team. Your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering toptier healthcare services to our patients ensuring accurate diagnostics and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures following established protocols and standards.
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Utilize advanced ultrasound equipment to obtain highquality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound data providing preliminary reports to physicians.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic information.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated with the latest advancements in echocardiography.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure equipment is wellmaintained troubleshooting any issues as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of MedicalCardiac Ultrasound or equivalent training.
- Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or
- National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained upon hire
- Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association is to be obtained upon hire
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in echocardiography.
