The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating creditworthiness assessing financial risks and making informed credit decisions. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining sound credit policies and ensuring the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Credit Evaluation: Conduct thorough analysis of credit applications financial statements credit reports and other relevant information to assess the creditworthiness of individuals businesses or institutions.
Risk Assessment: Evaluate financial data and metrics to determine credit risk ratings including assessing repayment capacity liquidity profitability and collateral value. Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify potential risks and mitigating factors.
Credit Decision Making: Make informed credit decisions based on analysis of credit reports financial statements industry trends and economic conditions. Recommend appropriate credit limits terms and conditions in accordance with established credit policies and guidelines.
Relationship Management: Collaborate with sales teams account managers and clients to gather necessary information and discuss credit applications. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to facilitate efficient credit evaluation and decisionmaking processes.
Credit Monitoring and Portfolio Management: Monitor credit exposures and portfolio performance to identify early warning signs and potential credit deterioration. Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of existing credit facilities to ensure ongoing compliance with credit terms and conditions.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed credit analysis reports memos and presentations for senior management summarizing findings recommendations and risk assessments. Maintain accurate and uptodate credit files and documentation.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements internal policies and procedures related to credit risk management. Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to safeguard the organizations assets and minimize credit losses.
