Project Manager Provident Fund Transition

Job Purpose The purpose of this role is to manage the transition from a private Provident Fund Trust to the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations.
Job Background/Context The company has an established Provident Fund Trust for its employees which is currently recognized by the Commissioner of Income Tax but not registered with the EPFO making it a private and excluded trust. The Trust is managed by Trustees who are part of the leadership team. The company now seeks to register its PF Trust with EPFO and is evaluating vendors/consultants to facilitate this transition. The role of the Project Manager is to lead and manage this transition endtoend working with internal stakeholders and the selected vendor.
Key Responsibilities - Understand the project context and create a detailed project plan with key milestones.
- Define the project scope potential risks and identify key resources for specific projectrelated tasks.
- Manage daytoday execution of multiple complex requirements to meet milestones.
- Ensure an audit trail is maintained for key decisions.
- Monitor project progress anticipate delays and inform relevant stakeholders.
- Identify stakeholders and key organizations to build and manage relationships.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Legal Compliance Finance HR HR Ops etc.) and the vendors SPOCs to ensure the project is on track.
- Set up necessary meeting cadences to track progress seek updates and ensure timely project completion.
- Lead the identification and resolution of projectrelated issues.
- Ensure project scope definition meets business objectives.
- Collaborate with the Project Sponsor to align the business case/costbenefit analysis with business objectives.
- Communicate status issues and risk disposition to all stakeholders including senior management in a timely manner.
- Manage the vendor according to thirdparty management guidelines within project timelines.
- Support the development of relevant employee communication materials regarding the project.
- Ensure the project complies with all relevant regulations.
Person Specification Knowledge/Experience
Essential:
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience with a focus on transformation and project/program management or change management.
Desirable:
- Prior project management work experience in the space of HR benefits/retirement benefits.
