SR Structural Designer 2 - SDSR2

Qualifications/Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent required with additional technical training or experience.
• Position requires a minimum of 10 20 years experience in Civil/Structural design and detailing of industrial and/or large commercial facilities.
• Steel/concrete detailing experience is required.
• Proficiency with creating in AutoCAD steel and concrete drawings for industrial or commercial projects.
• Foundation layout and details.
• Structural Steel layout and details.
• Have 3D modeling experience and produce clear concise drawings. Experience with Advance Steel is a plus.
• Good organization skills with ability to balance multiple projects.
• Experience in performing site walkdowns performing steel inspections and writing site reports is a plus.

The SR Structural Designer 2 position requires 20 years heavy industrial/power plant experience.
Job responsibilities include producing 3D models and design drawings for structural steel reinforced concrete and/or ductwork preparing layouts and conceptual designs reviewing vendor shop fabrication drawings preparing material takeoffs and assist with cost estimates coordinating work with other disciplines clients and contractors and performing site walkdowns for field verification and to address constructability.

Skillsets and expertise required for this position include proficient using AutoCAD extensive 3D modeling experience is strongly preferred experience in Microsoft/Bentley and AVEVA structural software is preferred steel/concrete detailing background is a plus good Technical writing skills must be able to produce clear concise drawing notes able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff design engineering staff and/or vendors.
