Registered Nurse - Pediatric

Position Title: Pediatric Registered Nurse

Shifts: 7 12 hour shifts

Must Have: PALSBLS/BCLSACLS

Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Assessing the physical emotional and developmental needs of pediatric patients.
Medication Administration: Administering medications and treatments tailored to childrens needs.
Family Education: Educating families on pediatric conditions treatments and home care.
Collaboration: Working closely with pediatricians healthcare teams and specialists to coordinate care.
Support: Providing emotional support to children and families during hospitalization or treatment.
Advocacy: Advocating for the needs and rights of pediatric patients.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of pediatric patients medical histories and care plans.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Associates or bachelors degree in Nursing
A valid current full and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America
Must maintain a current valid certification of the following throughout employment
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association
Complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resusition (PCAR) within 6 months of hire
National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIHSS NIH Stroke Scale must be completed (within 6 months of hire)
