Tasks
You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. As our Data Privacy Program Manager you will play a critical role in operationalizing our global Data Privacy Risk Management Program by overseeing the resolution of individual rights requests complaints by individuals and investigations by privacy and data protection regulators.
You will support the Data Governance & Privacy Team in the maintenance of ongoing privacyrelated efforts and development of administration processes.
You are someone who can work independently pay close attention to details organize and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines and are passionate about excellence in customer service.
Your responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the consent Management Process a process that guides compliance by informing users about data collection and usage practices.
- Investigate and respond to concerns or complaints raised by individuals
- Maintain a Data Subject Request Process a process that allows consumers to request access to deletion of remediation of and more to the data that Simpson holds regarding that individual.
- Assist with integrating Simpsons data privacy policy requirements into Simpson and subsidiary operations
- Assist with responding to inquiries regarding our Companys privacy compliance risks and initiatives.
- Support the creation of a global Privacy Community at Simpson.
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and thirdparty risk reviews as required.
- Assist with the response to data breaches and assess the potential impact on the individual data subjects affected and any required remediation.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of our business and privacy practices across the Company in order to better understand and isolate the risk of exposure or liabilities
- Participate in external data privacyrelated organizations to share and collaborate on best practices
Requirements
Our requirements
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years experience required
- IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US/EU) preferred
- Indepth understanding of global privacy principles regulations and risk frameworks
- Knowledge of privacy requirements in technology and bestknown practices in the context of implementation of consent and consumer rights administration
- Process Development: Experience with developing implementing and monitoring consent and consumer rights inquiry process
- Adaptability & Prioritization: Must be able to adaptively manage a range of privacy and data protection inquiries and work with colleagues to ensure resolution of requests.
- Communication: Respectfully communicate and negotiate effectively with colleagues at all levels of an organization and can influence decisionmaking by linking privacy requirements to business objectives and outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- This position requires domestic and international travel up to 20% of the time
- Active passport mobility
