N Position Type Management JOB SUMMARY Responsible forproactively soliciting and managing group / catering-relatedopportunities. Manages group / catering opportunities not handled bythe Event Booking Center. Actively up-sells each businessopportunity to maximize revenue opportunity. Achieves personal andteam related revenue goals. Ensures business is turned overproperly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering serviceexcellence throughout each customer experience. Provide service toour customers in order to grow share of the account on behalf ofthe company. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience - Highschool diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the sales andmarketing, guest services, front desk, or related professionalarea. OR - 2-year degree from an accredited university in BusinessAdministration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, orrelated major; no work experience required. CORE WORK ACTIVITIESUnderstanding Markets & Maximizing Revenue - Identifies newgroup / catering business to achieve personal and property revenuegoals. • Understands the overall market - competitors’strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc.and knows how to sell against them. • Closes the best opportunitiesfor the property based on market conditions and property needs. -Monitors same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue andcontrol property occupancy. • Gains understanding of theproperty’s primary target customer and serviceexpectations; serves the customer by understanding their business,business issues and concerns, to offer better business solutionboth prior to, and during the program / event.
