Job Description

My client is a wellestablished bank founded in the early 1970s in the Cayman Islands offering a comprehensive suite of banking services supported by cuttingedge technology for the alternative asset management ecosystem. Their vision is to be at the forefront of the alternative funds industry providing integrated solutions and technologydriven capabilities on a global scale.

After having expanded in the US they are now looking to do the same in Europe where Luxembourg has been recognized as the premier location for the headquarter of the European credit institution. After thorough analysis and discussions they are in the process of regulatory process for obtaining a credit institution license under the Luxembourg Law of April 1993. The entity is aiming to commence operations in early 2025.

The Luxembourg credit institution will mirror their successful business model of the Cayman bank which will be adapted to meet EU and Luxembourgspecific regulations.

We are seeking a Client Onboarding Officer for the Client Onboarding department.


Position Summary

The role actively supports the client onboarding process alongside colleagues from the Business Development team as well as with the Client Relationship Manager and executes its tasks within the onboarding framework to ensure successful onboarding.

RESPONSIBILITIES TASKS AND PERFORMANCE

  • In conjunction with your colleagues; document the timelines and the plan for the onboarding of the new client.
  • Manage daytoday execution of assigned projects from the pipeline.
  • In accordance with the relevant procedures collect documents needed at the onboarding stage of new clients and facilitate the client acceptance process and prepare pack for the Acceptance Committee.
  • Document/facilitate the requirements and operating model for the specific client take on to ensure that the systems and process are set up correctly to meet the client needs and the joint operating mode.
  • Provide concise and timely updates to the key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure that all data and documents required are collected in a timely manner.
  • Conduct the investor onboarding review in coordination with relevant local AML/KYC team.
  • Follow up with the client on any outstanding document.
  • Experience of the review and analyze of Fund documentation.
  • Resolve and escalate issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare Operating Memos & SLAs as required.
  • Coordinating counterparty setups with third parties (aligning with regulatory requirements).
  • In charge of account openings and their maintenance.

EXPERIENCE SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in Fund industry
  • Ability to interpret regulatory guidelines and assess risk scores.
  • Strong organizational analytical and prioritization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and French mandatory any additional language considered an asset.
  • Proactive with a positive approach and result driven.
  • You are flexible and dynamic in your approach to work.
  • A team player with ability to evidence leadership who can work independently as well.

  • 35 years of relevant experience in the Fund Industry.
