Job Description:

I am seeking a skilled and dedicated Software Engineer to join my team onsite in Japan & Sweden (Travel) . The selected candidate will work closely with our clients suppliers to implement HTTP API protocols in accordance with the clients documentation. This role requires a handson approach and the ability to ensure seamless communication between shop floor equipment and the clients MES (Manufacturing Execution System).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to understand their equipment and connectivity requirements.
  • Implement HTTP API protocols based on the clients specifications and documentation.
  • Ensure that suppliers follow the clients connectivity rules to achieve successful integration with the MES.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting to verify correct implementation and functionality.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to supplier teams throughout the integration process.
  • Document all work performed and create reports for the clients review.
  • Communicate progress and any issues encountered to the project manager and client regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software engineering specifically in implementing HTTP API.
  • Familiarity with OPC UA protocols is highly desirable.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic understanding of the Japanese language is a merit.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with MES systems and industrial automation.
  • Prior experience working onsite with suppliers or in a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of Japanese industrial standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in both Japanese and English is required.
