Why this role?
With a total of 5 active Cafes at the moment, we are looking for a central owner to focus on further enhancing the performance and growth overall. That means building stronger systems for scale, and foundations for growth as we continue delivering a world-class experience.
We’re looking for a passionate leader, ready to take on a challenge and make our retail experiment a winner experience.
The role is primarily based in Bahrain and will require frequent traveling to be close to the KSA cafe teams.
Scope of role
Leadership and culture building
Our employees in the Cafes are also the face of the brand when it comes to the customer. We are looking for an owner to continue building a positive employee culture within the stores as well as building strong training programs with the people and culture team.
We take our hiring seriously, we’d expect that the right caliber of staff are brought it with every addition to the team.
Expansion and growth
As we are building our Cafes, once a great opportunity arises, we will be looking to expand. This role is expected to be the final owner of the development of expansion plans and negotiation of retail stores across the region.
Operational excellence
This role would be in charge of the development and preparation of short-term and long-term plans based on Calo’s goals and objectives for the year.
We also expect this role to have ultimate ownership of the retail P&L, setting the standard for operating procedures and reporting mechanisms.
Marketing
With owning the retail project as a whole comes the responsibility of managing the Marketing for all the branches. The expectation here it to work with the dedicated marketing team for retail to oversee and approve all plans for the year related to both content and merch.
Menu development
With retail having a dedicated NPD team comes the Quarterly planning of launches, menu swaps and overall quality of the food. This role will be responsible for overseeing all launches, ensuring it’s the right decision for the customer.
