Need candidate from financial domainContract Senior Financial Java Developer (VaR)
Client iTalent Digital (End client Financial Domain)
MUST be local to New York City. Hybrid 23 days/week in office
Pay rate $60/hr W2 o $70/hr C2C (Max)Key ResponsibilitiesDesign develop and maintain highperformance scalable and secure Java application
Implement distributed processing solutions using multithreading and multiprocessing orchestration
Develop cloudbased applications on Azure with experience in OpenShift AKS or similar stack
Write efficient SQL queries stored procedures and create views for relational databases
Analyze data and perform data transformations using tools like SSIS or Databricks workflows
Script automation tasks using Python
Required Skills and Experience10 years of experience as a Java Developer
Strong proficiency in Java SQL and Data flow orchestration
Expertise in Spring Boot containers and distributed computing
Experience with relational databases writing queries stored procedures and creating views
Ability to analyze data and perform data transformations
Experience with Databricks and Kubernetes is a plus
Experience with cloudbased development using Azure Spring Apps is a plus
Additional Desirable SkillsKnowledge of quantitative finance especially of traded products
Experience with sensitivity calculations and position valuations
Proficiency in market risk measures such as VaR and stress testing scenarios
Education and CertificationsBachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field
Relevant certifications in Java Azure or other technologies are a plus
