Head of Reinsurance

• Ensures delivery of reinsurance and underwriting services by coordinating the operations of the reinsurance and underwriting team.

• Prepares reinsurance renewal market presentations and presents to reinsurers.

• Negotiates and arranges reinsurance placements (Treaty and Facultative) .

• Reviews reinsurance slips to identify and report differences in conditions between slips and the reinsurance placement.

• Annually reviews current reinsurance programs and program structures and evaluates alternatives, formulates options and recommends changes.

• Monitors all finance and accounting related functions relating to reinsurance and underwriting including budgeting, reporting, payments, claim recoveries and debt management.

• Monitors reinsurance claims administration including claim notification and facilitating recoveries along with Claims Department.

• Coaching and developing existing employees.

• Supporting problem resolution and decision-making along with all related parties .

• Translating corporate goals into functional and individual goals.
