Wound Care Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage all acute chronic wounds surgical wounds and dermatologic wounds
• Change dressings
• Perform medically necessary debridement
• Establish plan of care and work within protocols established by medical director
• Accurately performs physical examinations on adult patients with acute and chronic wounds
• Assess diagnose and manage chronic conditions for patient population
• Communicates with Primary Care Physician (PCP) or office staff regarding any changes in patients condition
• Provides individualized patient teaching and counseling

Qualifications:

• Recent experience as a Wound Care Nurse (not just postsurgical/onetime but ongoing care)
• Recent experience with Chronic Wound Care Procedures like debridement packing etc.
• Nurse Practitioner License
• Must be able to pass all background checks
• Reliable transportation
