Salary: $66000.00 to $97000.00

The RT(R) with a focus on patient safety is required to function within the parameters of the legal scope of practice and follow the federal state and local laws; rules and regulations; and policies procedures and guidelines of the employing health care institution or practice setting. The RT(R) functions under his or her license and assumes accountability and responsibility for the quality of care provided to patients and their families according to the standards of practice. The RT(R) demonstrates responsibility for continued competence in practice and develops insight through reflection selfanalysis selfcare and lifelong learning.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Must have 1 year of experience as a diagnostic technologist.

Education:

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Applied Science Radiology or trained in a hospitalbased program (AMA approved) is required
• Successful completion of crosssectional anatomy is required
• Initial Stroke Education: 3.5 Hours
• Annual Stroke Education: 2 Hours
• Total Joint & Spine Center initial and annual education: 0.70 hours

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• A current State of Texas License as a Radiology Technologist is required
• Must be ARRT (R) (CT) registered or eligible.
• Must obtain ARRT (CT) within 12 months of being registry eligible.
