The opportunity

Polestar is blazing a new trail dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. Your experience as an EA Project Engineer would be invaluable to us in our mission to grow in the areas of Electrical Architecture and Strategy.

Applying the system management into each vehicle Programme. This role focuses on the system management onto new vehicle concepts interacting across engineering functions external and attribute teams.

The Responsibilities

Electrical Architecture and Strategy is a team within SW&E department are based in Sweden and UK. The EE Architecture will be developed in accordance with the various industry standards for security safety and diagnostics. You will ensure that milestones are successfully met for completeness and quality up to from FCR submission systems and network design is robust safe and flexible from initial concept though to series production and beyond. You will be working with all areas of the business (commodity Attribute and Programme) to deliver all aspects of the EE Architecture.

You will be the gotoexpert for all kind of questions related to EA team and its work items.

  • Manage Function change post Submission to Supplier Identify the number of changes from each domain area that are being submitted in each iteration and submission.
  • Manage System Architecture and configuration change requests pre and post submission to Supplier including rerelease process Proactively manage and report on this build up to point of completeness at submission date.
  • Handling Network and config releases regularly with all the domains
  • Also managing Network drops for each ECU level on to vehicle development along with integration team To align SDB versions match with SW integration
  • Generating consistency reports from System engineering tool and tracking with domains until completion to enable quality from function to networks
  • Monitoring and Proactive resolution Resolve if possible any issues that arise with submissions or progress to submit with Domains engineering Electrical Architecture team management teams or Supplier
  • Support and guidance to Domain Architects as needed on submission and progression status Facilitate and liaise with stakeholders and SMEs to assist the resolution of issues or mitigate arising risks.
  • Development of methods and tools used to manage and report the changes being made to the Systems Gain experience and specialism on supplier submission tooling and process to train and guide others.
  • Change submissions on time complete and to the required quality to suppliers.

To be successful in this role we believe you have:

  • Relevant experience of working with Automotive Industry and Electrical Architecture.
  • Possession of an Electronics Control Systems Automotive or similar honours engineering degree. Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered.
  • Understanding of electrical architectures Network designing electrical peripherals CAN /LIN/Ethernet/AE networks wiring and diagnostic technologies
  • Understanding and experience in EE architecture and System Engineering
  • Understanding and experience in Project management and JIRA
  • Mandarin speaker (optional)
