As a Strategic Purchaser at Hstens you will play a pivotal role in our supply chain management ensuring that our global suppliers meet the highest quality standards and deliver on time. You will develop and implement procurement strategies that align with our business objectives focusing on cost savings supplier performance and process improvements. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to foster strong supplier relationships.

Strategic Purchaser Deliverables:

  • Create action plans compile evaluation reports and maintain relationship records to ensure supplier growth quality compliance and improved communication.
  • Provide detailed sourcing records develop price trend reports and track delivery performance metrics.
  • Formulate and implement process improvement plans manage contract documentation and propose enhancements for operational efficiency.
  • Document crossfunctional collaboration maintain communication records with other departments and produce quality assurance reports to ensure product standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Supplier Management and Evaluation:

  • Create business action plans with suppliers to secure growth and maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure continuous supplier evaluations and drive supplier relationships and communication to improve the flow of goods.
  • Manage our supplier portfolio mix and challenge single or multisourcing strategies.
  • Train suppliers in Hstens standards and ensure compliance.

Strategic Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Source parts materials consumables and equipment to meet specifications quality price and lead time requirements.
  • Oversee purchasing price development and ensure ontime delivery from suppliers (inbound performance %).

Process Improvement and Contract Management:

  • Continuously develop procurement processes and ensure effective contract management.
  • Seek new ways to improve operational efficiency and supplier communication to be the best partner.
  • Identify and support improvements across departments.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely within Hstens matrix organization and support collaboration both within the supply chain and other functions.
  • Communicate with other departments about status and actions taken.
  • Ensure the highest product quality according to the Spirit of Hstens.


Represent the Hstens brand

  • Follow guidelines use tools and ensure a structured way of working when it comes to sales visual merchandising store concept. Respect and keep deadlines and follow up on results.
  • Establish and maintain good and strong relationships with suppliers & internal stakeholder.
  • Act as true professional by representing the Hstens bluecheck values; awake enlightened empowered committed open business minded accountable serving respectful and loving.

Qualifications & Desired Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Business Management Supply Chain Management Procurement or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in strategic procurement supply chain management or a related field with demonstrated expertise in supplier management sourcing and contract negotiation.
  • Proficient in procurement software and systems such as ERP systems and eprocurement platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to perform cost analysis and market research.
  • Demonstrated strategic procurement skills including the ability to develop and implement longterm procurement strategies.
  • Effective negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication networking and social skills for effective interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven skills in process optimization to enhance efficiency and operational performance.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance.
