You want to use your coding skills for a meaningful cause You want to play a key role in strengthening our technical branch And you want to take endtoend responsibility for features

As a backend engineer in our embedded giving team you will make it easier for people to donate to organisations that match their interests and to bring the change to the world that we desperately need.

Your mission

• You integrate our web applications databases and external systems with Node.js backend services mostly running on serverless infrastructure
• Together with your team members Michael and Nadia you take decisions on how to develop our lean architecture and technology stack
• Maintainable code is important to you. You keep it simple ensuring that newjoiners quickly understand your work. And you are eager to cover your code with automated tests
• Optionally you implement basic changes in the React frontend (for complex features dedicated frontend engineers can take over)
• You can elaborate your thoughts in nontechnical terms and you enjoy conversations at eye level with product managers executives and other team members
• Since we are a small team you are willing to contribute in other fields so that together we can cover everything that is needed to release highquality product increments

Your profile

• Proficiency with Node.js Typescript and a testing framework (were using Vitest and Cypress)
• Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem notably Lambda EC2 DynamoDB RDS VPC
• Experience with SQL as well as noSQL databases including the capability to abstract feature requests into data models
• Knowledge of at least one frontend SPA framework (were mostly using React) and CSS is a plus
• Fluency in English written and spoken (C1)
