Job Description

OAK World:

We are a privately owned UK company based in the Northeast of England and supply quality oak furniture and leather sofas direct. Our business reputation has been built on supplying the best quality furniture at the best possible prices.

We have over 25 years experience in the furniture business and are firm believers in the maxim that how you make people feel is just as important as what you make!

The Role:

To maintain and improve on an ongoing basis all required aspects of all company websites ordering & logistics as directed including the aspects of stocking population general maintenance categorising obtaining and fulfilling.

Main Duties

  • Updating the website with the new products being sold.
  • Maintain accurate stocking of products and liaising with suppliers to ensure this.
  • Liaise and maintain a good rapport with suppliers.
  • Successfully prioritise and organise workloads as these become time critical.
  • Use of various IT systems (not exhaustive of: Microsoft Rightworx Ltd Systems Photoshop and Courier Systems.
  • Creation of Stock Reports.
  • Carry out daily administrative duties including responding to emails.7The on boarding of new suppliers into the Rightworx portfolio.
  • Contribute to internal and external meetings (where appropriate).
  • Ensuring the Maintenance of both Google & Trustpilot feedback scores.
  • Monitoring daily communications and answering queries.
  • Preparing statutory accounts.
  • Ensuring payments amounts and record are correct.
  • Working with spreadsheets sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
  • Controlling credit / Invoice processing and filing.
  • Liaising with third party providers and suppliers.
  • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
  • Ordering customer orders from suppliers including order confirmations.
  • Updating spreadsheets with leadtime.
  • Emailing customers on delays.
  • Feedback requests.
  • Order paperwork.
  • Emails from suppliers on orders.
  • Delivery updates.
  • Labels for deliveries / Manifests for deliveries.
  • Compliance with all company Health and Safety Policies/Regulations.

  • GCSE Maths A*C / 94 desirable.
  • GCSE English A*C / 94 desirable.
  • Computer literate.

Salary Hours and Benefits

  • 12480 per annum
  • Working hours to be confirmed upon confirmation of job role.
  • 24 Days Annual Leave.

What Apprenticeship Training will you Receive

The successful applicant will complete and obtain a Level 3 Business Administration Qualification through Learning Curve Group.

You will be taught through:

  • 46 Weekly 121 Sessions with your tutor
  • 6 weekly hours of Off The Job Training
  • The course is a 14 months programme
