Environmental amp Sustainability Advisor

We have a fantastic Opportunity for an experienced Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to join our team in Scotland.

The Environmental Advisor will play a key role in developing and implementing environmental strategies policies and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations minimize environmental impacts and promote sustainability across our operations. Responsibilities

• Develop implement and maintain environmental management systems (EMS) to ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation regulations and standards
• Conduct environmental audits assessments and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to environmental policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on environmental issues best practices and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including operations engineering and health and safety to integrate environmental considerations into business processes and decisionmaking.
• Monitor and analyse environmental performance data identify trends and opportunities for improvement and prepare reports for management review.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies external consultants and thirdparty organizations on environmental permitting reporting and compliance matters.
• Develop and deliver environmental training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees and promote a culture of environmental sustainability.
• Participate in environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and environmental management plans (EMPs) for new projects and developments.
• Stay informed about emerging environmental trends technologies and regulations and assess their potential impact on company operations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of environmental sustainability goals targets and initiatives.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in environmental science Environmental Engineering or related field; relevant professional certifications preferred (e.g. IEMA NEBOSH).
• Proven experience working in environmental management sustainability or related field preferably within the industry/sector sector.
• Sound knowledge of environmental legislation regulations and best practices with the ability to interpret and apply requirements effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to collect analyse and interpret environmental data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Selfmotivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve environmental objectives.
• Proficiency in environmental management software and tools is desirable.
• Ability to travel occasionally to company sites and project locations as needed.
• Commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
