Role: Business Continuity Management Specialist

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Business Continuity Management Specialist to join its dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in developing implementing and maintaining our business continuity management (BCM) program to ensure organizational resilience and an effective response to disruptions. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to develop continuity plans conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Continuity Planning and Development

• Develop implement and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans (BCPs) for all critical business functions at Mastercard.
• Conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) to identify critical business functions and processes assess potential impacts of disruptions and determine recovery priorities and timelines.
• Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to establish continuity requirements and integrate them into Mastercards overall business continuity strategy.

2. Risk Assessment and Mitigation

• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats to Mastercards business operations and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Ensure that business continuity plans address identified risks and comply with industry best practices and regulatory requirements specific to the financial services sector.

3. Training and Awareness

• Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that Mastercard employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities in the event of a business disruption.
• Conduct regular drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of business continuity plans and update them based on the outcomes.

4. Incident Response and Management

• Act as the primary point of contact during business disruptions and coordinate Mastercards response.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination among internal and external stakeholders during incidents.
• Document and analyze incidents to identify lessons learned and improve future response efforts.

5. Compliance and Documentation

• Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of all business continuity plans procedures and policies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations standards and guidelines such as ISO 22301 and specific requirements applicable to the financial services industry.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Regularly review and update business continuity plans to reflect changes in the business environment operations and technology at Mastercard.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in business continuity.

Qualifications :

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration Risk Management Information Technology or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business continuity management operational resilience or risk management preferably within the financial services industry.
• Experience in conducting business impact analyses and risk assessments.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of business continuity and operational resilience and best practices specifically within the context of financial services.
• Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business continuity software tools.

Certifications:

• Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) or similar certification preferred.

Working Conditions

• This position may require occasional travel to various Mastercard locations.
• Ability to respond to business disruptions outside of regular business hours as needed.
