Job Title: Mechanical Drafter/Designer

Location: Minneapolis MN

Duration: Full Time role/Direct Hire

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

Coordinate with engineers for design requirements and understanding the requirements for the tasks
Create modify or revise CAD drawing using available CAD applications to meeting the project requirements under engineering direction
Provides CAD and drafting support for new and existing products as well as support manufacturing process when needed
Ensure adherence to company and industry standards
Estimate time needed for completing the assigned tasks
Ensure tasks performed are error free
Use computerbased programs to clock in and out and to perform other selfserve duties
Work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment
Ability to use standard inspection tools to verify parts meet print or technical manual specifications (calipers height gages optical comparators etc.)
Maintain records of measurement information and various metrics within customer proprietary software
Participate in FAA inspections ISO Certification and surveillance audits and customer audits as needed
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Experience with SolidWorks CREO or related 3D engineering modeling software
You know drafting. Youre a CAD enthusiast with at least three years of experience or technical training
Youre a people person with the ability to interface and collaborate effectively with other team members.
Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Demonstrated ability to work crossfunctionally in a team environment.
Ability to work with minimum supervision

Education and Experience:
Associate degree in technical drafting or drafting certifications a minimum; Will consider work experience in lieu of degree
Minimum of three years of progressive experience related to drafting and technical drawings preferably in related to the aerospace field.
Experience with ATS Inspect software preferred but not required
