Job Description

Malander has an exciting opportunity for a detailorientated team player to join the Finance Banking team for one of our clients based in Cape Town for a 6 month contract. The Banking Finance Clerk plays a crucial role in the finance team to ensure the team limits the risk of cash loss account for all cash and card transactions on a timely basis and keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Banking Supervisor the primary responsibility is to reconcile company bank and general ledger accounts and reporting all discrepencies;
  • Ensure the correct documentation is collected from stores with regards to discrepencies;
  • Incorporate new business developments into the daily reconciliation process;
  • Liaise with local and foreign banks regarding charges and cash banking queries.
Qualifications:
  • Matric;
  • Postmatric qualifications would be advantageous.
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Experience in a fastpaced and dynamic finance retail environment;
  • Experience in general finance processes including inter alia bank reconciliations foreign currency translation and conversion bank card queries resolving bank discrepencies etc.;
  • Experience within a team dynamic would be advantageous.
