Job Description

At STRI we are hiring Assistant Manager/ Manager for Fundraising Events for our clients who are a Chennai based NGO.

The Assistant Manager/Manager will be responsible for developing donor relationships with Affluent Donors/ HNIs/UHNIs that promote retention and loyalty. This person will also organize fundraising events for Bhumi that see participation from corporate and individual donors.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Reach out to corporates to get the mandate of planning and executing fundraising events
  • Innovate on sales strategy and lead generation channels
  • Endtoend management of HNI fundraising and donor relationships
  • Curating donor appeals and proposals to raise unrestricted funding

Requirements


Education Qualification / Experience:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate (MBA will be an added advantage)
  • 13 years of work experience in managing corporate partnerships
  • Any event management / sales / fundraising experience would be an advantage

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Creative and able to enjoy working within a small entrepreneurial environment that is missiondriven resultsdriven and communityoriented
  • Possess the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders including staff volunteers external partners and donors
  • Expertlevel written and verbal communication skills
  • High Emotional maturity Resourceful responsible and selfstarting
  • Forwardlooking thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

  • Location: Chennai (Preferred) / Mumbai / Bangalore
  • Designation: Assistant Manager to Manager Based on the candidate profile
  • Remuneration for Manager: CTC 9 12 LPA. including performance incentives based on the candidate s profile
  • Remuneration for Assistant Manager: CTC 6 9 LPA. including performance incentives based on the candidate s profile
  • Expected Joining Date: Immediate


Minimum 5-7 years of prior experience preferably in Project management Experience of running a start-up would be an advantage Fundraising experience would be an advantage Prior volunteering experience is mandatory. Any graduate Passionate about volunteering and promoting volunteerism Should be resident of Chennai pincode 600018, or willing to relocate Good computer knowledge and MS office skills. Familiarity with using the Internet - doing online research, compiling and putting things together, Google Docs, Social Media, etc. Strong conceptual, planning, operational and analytical skills. Good interpersonal and persuasive skills to engage a wide variety of stakeholders - citizens, bureaucrats, entrepreneurs, non-profit founders, policymakers, etc. Ability to manage and implement programs and get results as the core focus Very responsive - quick to get back to people, always available. Fluent in English and Tamil communication (written & spoken). Reliable& Dependable - punctual, good at meeting deadlines, and taking ownership of the project and its outcomes.
