Job Description
Job Title: System Analyst
Location: Lansing MI 48917
Job Responsibilities:
- This System Analyst position will support LEO E & T workforce development applications One Stop Management Information System (OSMIS) OSMIS Dashboard Career Explorer Client Adult Education Reporting System (MAERS) and Information Management Performance and Customer Tracking (IMPACT).
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as System/Business Analyst conducting Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with Customers and requirement gatherings.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing
- Minimum 1 year of RDBMS / SQL experience
- Preferred experience in Agile/Scrum
- Experience in SAP BO is a plus.
Job duties of this position include but not limited to:
- Requirement gathering business process analysis/improvement requirements management and software testing; Assess As Is and To Be processes and document gaps; collect enduser requirements for improving business processes and software via interviews focus groups and other stakeholder discussions.
- Categorize/segment similar requirements and create additional requirements that address client pain points.
- Maintain uptodate requirements user stories acceptance criteria test plans (in Excel word docs Microsoft Azure) and run reports on the same to inform management discussions.
- Facilitate planning and requirements meetings understand and create solutions to improve user experience agile product development support; participate in Sprint ceremonies.
- Collaborate with product development team to translate requirements into technical specifications for the proposed solution; design develop and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
- Maintain reusable scripts technical documentation and specifications; develop user stories and initial wireframes to guide the architecture of the proposed solution; develop software test plans.
- Participate in regression testing quality assurance testing user acceptance testing and conduct necessary sessions/focus groups with users to capture feedback on functionality being developed within each agile sprint; translate user feedback into refined requirements for development team.
- Serve as liaison between client business users and development team communicating and interpreting requirements and technical solutions.
- Collaborate to elicit new product ideas and improve existing solutions; program management documentation support including developing highquality presentations for client meetings; and participate in team and customer meetings documenting notes and action items; basic knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) Structured Query Language (SQL) and Microsoft products Word Excel and Visio.
