Title : MRI Researcher
Location : Baltimore MD 21225
Overall Position Summary and Objectives:
Support the operational objectives of the National Institute on Aging by providing MRI technologist services and related support.
Minimum Education:
Certifications & Licenses:
- Masters degree in a sciencerelated discipline (preferred)
- Licensed in Maryland as an MRI technologist
- Certification by the ARRT and licensed by the State of Maryland
Skills:
- Clinical trial management
- Patient care
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI scanners according to research protocols
- Schedule maintenance and upgrades with MRI vendors
- Collaborate with MRI scientists and vendors to test and troubleshoot hardware/software
- Manage procurement property management upgrades and IT support for MRI Facility
- Oversee safety protocols and incident reporting
- Implement imaging strategies to reduce scan time
- Perform prescan preparations and collect MR images
- Ensure safety and comfort of research participants and patients
- Maintain and order supplies ensuring proper disposal of hazardous materials
- Coordinate MRI study schedules and serve as emergency contact for facility issues
- Maintain accurate logs data and documentation of MRI scans
- Participate in data analysis research reports and manuscript preparation
- Train junior technicians and staff on MRI protocols and techniques

- Collaborate with clinical staff research scientists and administrative staff
- Ensure smooth operation of the MRI facility
- Manage MRI study schedules and participant coordination
