Manufacturing Sales Representative

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with customers enter orders and determine the cost of specialty items (with managements assistance).
• Document all sales calls.
• Discuss and sell a diverse range of products.
• Manage existing account relationships through regular communication and interactions including occasional inperson visits and overnight travel.
• Sell products and take orders via phone.
• Administer orders promptly ensuring they are entered into the system and communicated to production within the same business day.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding production lead times or changes in material availability within the same business day.
• Manage account needs including RMA/Credit processing change orders and shipping inquiries.
• Prospect and develop new business opportunities/customers for all products dedicating at least 15% of weekly activities to calls emails and quotes.
• Coordinate manage and occasionally attend trade shows.

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors degree.
• Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Excel Word PowerPoint and Publisher.
• Ability to multitask and selfmanage.
• Strong attention to detail and good math skills.
• Solid analytical skills.
• Experience in distributor sales technical sales and/or construction sales is a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Commodity purchasing experience.
• Contract negotiation experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid drivers license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP software.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand walk or sit for approximately eight (8) hours/day.
• Ability to bend and stoop.
• Ability to drive a car and travel as needed.
