Overview:
As an IB PYP Homeroom Teacher you will play a crucial role in delivering an international education curriculum fostering inquirybased learning and shaping the overall development of young minds. Your dedication to implementing the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and creating a supportive learning environment will be instrumental in nurturing students as inquisitive caring and knowledgeable individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a positive inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Implement the IB PYP curriculum and create engaging lesson plans
- Guide students through inquirybased learning experiences
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver transdisciplinary units
- Assess student learning through various formative and summative methods
- Offer constructive feedback to support student growth
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Support the holistic development of students through extracurricular activities
- Participate in professional development and team meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education or relevant field
- IB PYP certification or training
- Teaching license/certification as per the location requirements
- Demonstrated experience in teaching the IB PYP curriculum
- Understanding of inquirybased learning and constructivist pedagogy
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse classroom
- Strong knowledge of international education principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment
