IB PYP Homeroom Teacher

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate a positive inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Implement the IB PYP curriculum and create engaging lesson plans
• Guide students through inquirybased learning experiences
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver transdisciplinary units
• Assess student learning through various formative and summative methods
• Offer constructive feedback to support student growth
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
• Support the holistic development of students through extracurricular activities
• Participate in professional development and team meetings

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education or relevant field
• IB PYP certification or training
• Teaching license/certification as per the location requirements
• Demonstrated experience in teaching the IB PYP curriculum
• Understanding of inquirybased learning and constructivist pedagogy
• Ability to effectively manage a diverse classroom
• Strong knowledge of international education principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Capability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice
