Job Description
Job Title: MEP Procurement Assistant
Responsibilities:
Assist the MEP Procurement Manager in sourcing negotiating and purchasing materials and services for mechanical electrical and plumbing systems.
Maintain and update procurement records including purchase orders supplier contracts and inventory levels.
Collaborate with project managers and MEP engineers to understand project requirements and ensure timely procurement of necessary materials.
Evaluate and compare supplier quotations to secure the best pricing and quality for materials and services.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials resolving any issues related to delays or discrepancies.
Assist in preparing and maintaining procurement reports including cost analysis and budget tracking.
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and reliability.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all procurement activities.
Support the negotiation of terms and conditions with suppliers including pricing delivery schedules and payment terms.
Assist in managing supplier relationships to ensure ongoing quality and reliability of supply.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineer .
Previous experience in procurement preferably within the MEP (mechanical
electrical plumbing) industry.
Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle
multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g. SAP Oracle MS Office Suite).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively
with suppliers and internal teams.
Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining procurement records.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with MEP materials and equipment.
Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g. CPSM CSCP) is a plus.
Experience with contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
