As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will:

• Collaborate with colleagues within the Interaction Messaging & Mobile department specifically within the Receiving & Communicating (O&M) part to establish a new Java team.
  
• Contribute to the realization of a Query environment system for messages processed using the Multi Channel Receive (MKO) and Multi Channel Message (MKM2) systems.
  
• Work onsite in Apeldoorn for at least 23 days per week initially to facilitate team establishment and collaboration.
  
• Develop a system capable of processing various message types ranging from small XML files to large data files (> 1 GB) and handling large volumes (ultimately > 500 million/year).
  
• Implement solutions based on Kafka microservices container hosting mainframe and DB2 with scalability in mind.
  
• Work in an Agile environment utilizing JIRA for project management and user stories in sprints.
  
• Coordinate with teammates and other DevOps engineers within the department and professional group.
  
• Assist in designing solutions and participate in project teams for developing new functionality within the domain.
  
• Monitor evaluate and review current functionalities processes and working methods while maintaining and applying knowledge of DevOps techniques.
  

What You Bring to the Table:

• MBO4/HBO working and thinking level preferably in a relevant field such as technical computer science.
  
• At least 4 years of demonstrable and relevant work experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  
• Experience with projects in an Agile environment with at least 2 years of experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
  
• Proficiency in microservices container hosting mainframe and DB2.
  
• Extensive knowledge and experience with DevOps practices.
  
• Familiarity with Container Platforms.
  
• A team player mindset with a willingness to share and expand knowledge in collaboration with colleagues.
  
• Willingness or eagerness to learn about technologies such as Openshift Kafka Pub/Sub systems Argo CD and Tekton.
