You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAbout the Role Qatar Airways is pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Transport Management team. As the Transport Coordinator, the role will be responsible for performing all functions that contribute to a well-organized day-to-day systematic and or manual transportation operation by supporting QR internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities of the role are: • Provide internal and or external customer service, whether face-to-face, through e-mails, and or over the phone, at a level that either meets or exceeds expectations to support customers and relevant stakeholders. • Monitor the Transport Management Solution (TMS) planned and generated transportation trips and ensure that employees are dispatched as per their schedule. • Monitor the Geographical Location System Intelligence (GLSI) and In Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) to ensure that transportation activities are on track and communicate with the assigned driver/supervisor in the event that the planned trip have not started as scheduled. • Communicate with the third-party service provider supervisor & driver/s as and when needed to facilitate transportation as per customer requirement. • Provide immediate response to TMS alerts; for example, “Driver Panic” alert – collision, and ensure that all incidents are reported to management in a timely manner. • Complete all TMS data entry and/or reports to accommodate changes to the planned schedule within shift operations. • Report all IVMS, ID Car reader, and or Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) failures in a timely manner to the Transport Support and Logistics Officer to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. • React to total system failure by providing manual trip dispatching, utilizing backed up system files to avoid delays and disruptions to the service. • Provide on-demand transportation services for Passenger and Cargo to meet the needs of the internal customers. • Provide real-time status updates regarding vehicle fleet and driver performance as required by Line Manager or Department Management. • Provide instructions to 3rd Party Logistics Suppliers in line with SOP or as required by Line Manager and/or department management. • Conduct mandatory vehicles/resources inspection, record and complete the required Check List/s to ensure that all vehicles are fit for daily operations Be part of an extraordinary story Your skills.
