Position Overview: As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Flocker you will develop and deploy innovative machine learning solutions. You will work closely with a crossfunctional team including both scientists and engineers. Your role will involve leading highimpact projects providing technical expertise and guiding a distributed team of engineers. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining critical infrastructure such as microservices feature stores and our AI platform driving automation for training deployment and continuous updates of our ML models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain AI platforms to support AI research and ML model deployment.
  

• Develop scalable robust lowlatency Machine Learning Model REST APIs.
  

• Write highquality code and perform code reviews.
  

• Build tooling to detect and prevent data drift and model drift..
  

• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and methodologies.
  

• Manage project priorities deadlines and deliverables providing technical leadership.
  

• Lead and mentor junior developers providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
  

• Engage in the full software development lifecycle including requirement gathering design coding testing and deployment.
  

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
  

• Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning estimation and retrospectives
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science STEM or related field (Master s or PhD preferred).
  

• 5 years of software development experience in data structures algorithms design and architecture.
  

• Proficiency in building consumerfacing applications.
  

• Knowledge of architecting and scaling systems with various data stores.
  

• Strong understanding of distributed computing and big data technologies.
  

• Skilled in software development with modern languages (Python Scala Java).
  

• Experience with Git CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
  

• Proficiency with Docker shell scripts and data orchestration tools.
  

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of handson experience with ML algorithms tools like PyTorch HuggingFace AI deep learning and NLU / LLMs.
  

• Familiarity with tools like Langchain Llamaindex MLFlow and vector databases.
