We are looking for a Data Science Engineer with GCP who will be responsible for collecting patient information from electronic health records and interpreting clinical notes diagnoses and other medical text using advanced NLP algorithms. They will entail combining structured and unstructured data from many sources to produce cohesive patient profiles and provide short summaries of patient history treatment and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role preferably in the healthcare domain.
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g. pandas NumPy).
• Handson experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) particularly Vertex AI.
• Experience with multimodel development and exploration.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Experience working in the healthcare domain and FHIR data is a plus.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms (e.g. regression classification clustering).
• Proficiency in natural language processing (NLP) tools and libraries.
• Familiarity with developing and deploying generative AI models via Vertex AI APIs (e.g. PaLM 2 MedLm).
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards and protocols including FHIR.
• Extract patient information from various electronic health records.
• Apply unsupervised and supervised learning models including deep learning neural networks to categorize clinical data and build recommendation engines for various physician specialties based on patient contexts.
• Utilize NLP techniques to interpret clinical notes diagnoses and other medical text effectively.
• Manage structured and unstructured data to ensure effective integration and analysis.
• Integrate data from diverse sources into unified patient profiles.
• Automatically generate concise summaries of patient history treatment and outcomes.
• Develop customizable summarization templates tailored to user requirements.
• Design and implement data extraction and NLP modules.
• Establish basic data normalization and integration functionalities.
• Implement initial user authentication and rolebased access controls.
• Build and deploy machine learning models including large language models (LLMs) on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
