Job Title: Unreal Technical Artist
We are seeking a passionate Technical Artist with experience in Unreal Engine to join our innovative team. Your role will involve developing industryleading art assets for use in digital twins and robotic simulations to support the clean energy transition. You will be working alongside our Engineering Machine Learning and Product teams to help produce photorealistic worlds for testing and development of autonomous underwater vehicles and training of advanced machine learning models.
Using tooling made by our Engineering team you will help create rigged underwater vehicles for use in our simulation. Working with our clients you will be taking their CAD models of offshore assets and converting them for use in our digital twin representation of an offshore windfarm. Your responsibilities will include helping to define the art workflow across the various projects and working with contractors and stakeholders to deliver highquality art as required.

Objectives & Responsibilities:
Vaarst is an exciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to change as we grow your objectives and responsibilities will include:
You will be helping to define the art pipelines from concept to productionready assets.
Using both scratch and shopbought assets you will be involved in the entire art cycle of modelling texturing and lighting of our 3D worlds.
Working with Unreal Editor tools to produce and upload movie renders to our AI training framework.
Using our Unrealengine based systems you will help in the creation of different representations of realworld underwater vehicles and environments for use in the simulation.
You will be responsible for creating highquality rigged meshes and setting up and defining the placement of various sensors and trusters on said mesh.
You should apply if you have:

At least 3 years of experience working with Unreal including Blueprints Materials Lighting Movie Sequencer and Niagara particle effects or similar systems
Portfolio demonstrating previous work from concept to delivery.
(Preferable) Experience using the Unreal Engine water plugin.
Understanding of camera settings and mimicking reallife cameras in Unreal.
Strong foundations in Photoshop or equivalent image manipulation software.
Proficiency with at least one digital content creation package (Blender (preferrably) Maya 3DS Max etc).
Experience converting CAD models for use ingame art workflows.
Grow together with Vaarst where you will learn and use the following:
Develop Shaders to be able create hyperrealistic renders.
Develop a clear understanding of the rendering Pipelines to be able to get the most out of the engine.
Using Profiling tools and to be able to optimise content for users.
