Position: Certified Project Manager III

Location: Madison WI 53703 (Local Remote)

Duration: Long Term Contract

1. Have a PMP certification that is currently active.
2. Have 12 years of which the most recent roles (23 years) are as a PM on BI/DW Solutions.
3. Are OK with relocating to Wisconsin and staying there for the duration of the role (they can work remotely from WI but have to be in the state).
4. Have history with two of the three below:
   • Informatica
   • Business Objects (BO)
   • Data Quality Projects
   • Welfare or Child Support Systems
   • Prior roles in State Government as a PM
5. Have a history doing data modeling specifical using Kimball and Star Schema structures.

Top Skills:

• Thorough understanding of industrystandard web application project management methodologies and reporting including PMP (or similar industry standard) Certification.
• Strong customer service and relationship management experience.
• Business intelligence/data warehousing project management experience.
• Project documentation skills and experience to support project chartering scoping and other project deliverables.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with MS Project and performance measure design and utilization.
• Knowledge of Kimball data warehouse design principles and State of Wisconsin Privacy Regulations.

Role/Project Description:

The client seeks a resultsoriented and adaptable individual with a cando attitude to lead business intelligence projects for our business partners. This project manager will lead multiple projects from small to multimilliondollar development efforts. The project manager will work with other project managers in DCF and possibly with other State of WI Departments such as the Department of Administration (DOA) and the Department of Health Services (DHS). The person in this role will lead the business intelligence development team members to complete projects and work closely with our business partners to ensure its success. The individual in this position will:

• Be responsible for technical and overall project management on enterprisewide business intelligence applications and architecture. Develops project charters plans deliverables and other project artifacts.
• Works closely with the project sponsor and IT senior management to understand and prioritize project tasks. Solves complex technical problems. Understands business objectives and concerns identifies alternative solutions and performs feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives to support enterprisewide business intelligence.
• Builds an effective team and directs the project teams work to meet project milestones. Develops standards policies and procedures for the form structure and attributes of the business intelligence documentation tools and systems. Develop data/information quality metrics.
• Develop and maintain project charters plans deliverables and other artifacts.
• Work closely with the project sponsor and IT senior management to understand and prioritize project tasks solve complex technical problems understand business objectives and issues identify alternative solutions and perform feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis.
• Research new technology and develop business cases to support enterprisewide business intelligence solutions. Participate in special projects as required.
• 12 years of project management experience with leading large and complex database management systems business intelligence tools and systems.
• Selected candidates must provide copies of any/all certifications as part of the hiring process.
