Your role and goals

We are seeking a talented and detailoriented Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a Finance Accountant you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting maintaining compliance with regulations and supporting the overall financial health of our organisation.

We are expanding our Berlinbased team and our ideal candidate is comfortable with both office and hybrid ways of working. The company has great growth potential and there is an opportunity to take your career to the next level.

In your first 3 months you will:

• Familiarise yourself with the Productsup business and its legal entities
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the companys setup goals and the finance team objectives
• Ensure accurate and timely posting of financial accounting transactions for our 5 nonGerman businesses.
• Acquaint yourself with our teams processes and tools such as Spendesk Zuora Freshdesk Quickbooks and Salesforce
• Develop enhance and maintain control processes to ensure that accounting is complete and accurate.
• Maintenance and oversee process of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reconciliation of intercompany accounts and recharge

In your first 6 months and beyond you will:

• Responsibility for the monthly quarterly and yearend financial close including intercompany reconciliation accruals and deferrals to facilitate smooth financial reporting
• Support the controlling team with monthly reporting.
• Assist with other finance projects process improvement and automation throughout the year as required.
• You will play a key role in communicating with external stakeholders such as tax advisors auditors and tax authorities.
• Assist with financial audits where required

What you bring to the team

• Successfully completed business studies with a specialisation in finance/accounting OR
• 12 years of relevant experience in the finance field preferably within a SaaS environment
• Consolidation experience is a bonus
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail the ability to prioritise tasks and adaptability to changes
• Analytical mindset with a strong aptitude for working with numbers
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets with additional knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus
• Demonstrable ability to meet deadlines results orientated and can do attitude
• Display a handson mentality combined with quick comprehension sensitivity trustworthiness and a strong sense of loyalty
• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills (knowledge of the German language is a plus)
