Job Description:

The Crane Assembler is responsible for installing crane components and performing electrical wiring according to blueprints and the Bill of Materials (BOM). This involves bolting together the crane base and installing the motor and winch utilizing an overhead crane to lift and position heavy parts accurately. They use pneumatic and hand tools such as ratchets wrenches screwdrivers and sockets to assist with the assembly. Accessing the BOM in Oracle is essential to determine the required parts for the crane. The assembler attaches hydraulic hoses and wires the motor and winch to the crane base then applies the company logo and safety decals to the finished product. They also perform touchup painting as needed and prepare an assembly kit by pulling the necessary parts. When uncertain they reference the BOM to ensure accurate assembly. The assembler connects the cylinder to the crane boom using a forklift for lifting heavy parts. Additionally they ensure all products have proper identification such as job or sales orders BOMs routing sheets or placards with part numbers before moving between processes or to/from the warehouse storage area. Proper identification of all materials is mandatory without exceptions.

Requirements:

• Minimum six months of mechanical assembly or maintenance technician experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of Oracle Order processing systems.
• Forklift Certification.
