Position Summary:
The Marketing and Partnerships Manager will work closely with the Marketing Consultant and will help support existing marketing programs while collaborating with leadership in the development of new initiatives aligned with organizational goals. The Marketing and Partnerships Manager will drive and execute a wide range of marketing functions including programming and events communications social media and partnerships while adhering to the organization s marketing standards.
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives to promote the Fifth Avenue brand including overseeing initiatives that create positive awareness for Fifth Avenue and its members generating income for the organization and supporting districtwide marketing efforts. This position also will promote communication and partnership across all levels of membership within the Fifth Avenue Business District including retailers hotels restaurants and other businesses and cultivate positive relationships within the community.
Success within this role will be reached through strong initiative organizational skills responsiveness and prioritization with an ability to multitask many diverse projects at once and a solid ability to execute the workload quickly and efficiently.

Essential Duties
Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Oversee and directly implement Fifth Avenue s marketing and communications efforts including general brand management email newsletter social media website media placement and preparation of collateral materials.
- Coordinate and manage the moving parts of various marketing events and campaigns.
- Collaborate with leadership to propose new programming and event initiatives to support the overarching strategy.
- Manage the development and distribution of internal and external marketing materials including neighborhood guides sponsorship decks campaign recaps and more.
- Oversee parts of the planning and implementation of public programming Fifth Avenue Blooms Holiday Open Streets and more.
- Support Fifth Avenue rebranding and new website; maintain website content on an ongoing basis.
- Support the management of Fifth Avenue s digital and social media presence including content planning engagement strategies paid promotion and collaborations while seeking opportunities to grow digital communications.
- Create proofread and edit copy for various communications channels ensuring a consistent brand message.
- Support in managing external communications vendors including a social media agency and PR agency as needed.
- Coordinate and manage events some of which may occur on mornings evenings and/or weekends.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the role of the work within the larger marketing strategy and business operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Member Engagement and Outreach
- Operate as a key point of contact for all incoming and outgoing member communications events partnerships and programming with Fifth Avenue businesses.
- Cultivate close working relationships with member representatives including Retail and Hotel General Managers Concierge teams Directors of Client Engagement Marketing managers and more. Understands the specific roles of each of each.
- Support new member store openings through the creation and delivery of welcome packets newspaper drops partnership decks and more.
- Oversee and collaborate with the Marketing & Content Manager and Coordinator to identify and contacting new businesses in the district to understand their marketing goals and publish New Neighbor posts through our digital channels.
- Assist leadership in gaining participation and sponsorship for FAA seasonal activations and promotions.
- Lead member engagement independently and proactively understanding their needs and concerns to provide support and resources when able.
- Ensure information is shared and vetted with appropriate parties within and outside of the organization.
Administrative
- Responsible for implementing best practices and improving the department s overall functionality including maintaining contact databases maintaining department activity calendar reporting and organizing assets.
- Manages project timelines and budgets ensuring campaigns are delivered ontime and within budget.
- Must have the utmost appreciation of and ability to handle a myriad of tasks large and small as required by staff members of a small organization.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Marketing Communications Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in marketing communications community engagement programming and event management business client management public relations city government nonprofit management or related field.
- Experience and strong interest in retail and fashion culture and/or economic development. Multibrand experience is preferred.
- Proven experience coordinating marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Firm grasp on various marketing platforms channels campaign execution and best practices including social digital and email marketing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of how various marketing functions work together and the drive and desire to grow within the marketing industry
- Experience working with stakeholders from luxury brands.
- Marketing experience within multibrand or Business Improvement District (BID) environments.
- Strong organizational and project management skills as well as attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and pivot when needed.
- Must be a selfstarter and able to move projects forward prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal guidance.
- Proficient using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools such as email internet and Microsoft products (e.g. Word Excel Office Outlook). Graphic design experience is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to support events that periodically occur during the evening and/or weekends.
- Proactive selfstarter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating and managing events.
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills.
- A high level of creativity.
- Travel within the New York City area up to 10% may be required.

Ability to read in English various complex documents frequently in small print.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and/or exert force frequently to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
Ability to respond to audible emergency signals/alarms on equipment and fire alarm.
Ability to communicate clearly on a telephone.
Notes:
Salary range: $commensurate with experience.
Required in office 4 days per week working remotely 1 day a week.
