    The company provides the No.1 ebook intermediary service in Japan with a market share of over 2200 publishers and over 150 ebookstores. In order to widely distribute digital content such as books and comics domestically and internationally we have mainly developed BtoB ebook intermediary systems that register digital content received from publishers and distribute it to ebookstores. The ebook market in Japan mainly comics will reach approximately 350 billion yen in 2019 and it is a market with great potential that continues to grow.

    Our ebook intermediary system continues to be designed and developed based on the early ebook distribution business and in order to support the even greater growth of the ebook market in the future it will be essential to update the system to be able to withstand this growth. In order to contribute to the further development of the ebook market in the future it has decided to revamp its ebook distribution system.

    To accelerate this project we are looking for engineers to join our development team.

  • English

    • Automation of operational tasks: We automate operational tasks for business units and development teams using Python. We constantly explore opportunities for automation in daily operational tasks to reduce toil.
    • Public cloud construction/operation: We build AWS environments using Terraform Cloud and perform performance tuning on the infrastructure postdeployment. Additionally SRE manages account management for AWS/GCP/OCI and we work on improving resources that do not adhere to best practices.
    • Monitoring: We collaborate with the development team to operate monitoring tools centered around New Relic. We monitor daily performance using APM and detect and respond to system anomalies.
    • Cost analysis and optimization: We build and operate BI tools to aggregate and visualize the costs of public clouds. We analyze for unnecessary resources and abnormal costs and optimize accordingly.

    Career Path After Joining

    Youll gain experience in operating and building public cloud environments such as AWS and OCI. Moreover youll have the opportunity to explore a wide range of technologies from application development to infrastructure construction enabling you to acquire a broad spectrum of skills.

    As decisionmaking and work processes are at the discretion of individual team members youll develop leadership skills by leading projects yourself.

    After making significant contributions as an engineer you can advance your career from a team leader to a technical specialist for the entire project or to an engineering manager.

    Example 1: Senior Engineer (8 years of tenure) Joined as a new graduate gained experience in operating onpremises servers as an infrastructure engineer. Subsequently acquired knowledge in public clouds IaC and programming languages and currently leads various projects as a project leader.

    Example 2: Junior Engineer (3 years of tenure) Joined midcareer responsible for automating business unit operations using RPA tools. Later assigned to SRE driving automation of tasks using Python and now also involved in management tasks such as recruitment.

Hours:
