SRE Tech Lead

Our client is seeking a talented SRE Tech Lead to offer leadership and supervision over the development and automation of the diverse services within the Graph ecosystem. This role involves being an active member of the SRE team contributing handson expertise. You will be instrumental in enhancing availability and reliability across multiple engineering teams working collaboratively to automate and monitor the operational management of services. Close partnership with the teams manager will be a key aspect of this position.

What Youll Do

• Partnering closely with engineering management to identify and prioritize team epics OKRs costcutting measures and optimization initiatives as well as crossteam projects through the Shape Up process contributing to product roadmaps by representing SRE activities and resource planning.
• Working with management to prioritize the needs of internal customers.
• Regularly performing SRE duties as part of your role.
• Creating comprehensive documentation and instrumentation for our systems to ensure visibility automation selfrecovery and resiliency across all layers of the stack.
• Managing the postmortem process and ensuring the completion of corrective actions.
• Leading automation and monitoring/alerting strategies.
• Designing building and supporting essential services that are vital to our business.
• Influencing infrastructure and architecture decisions with an emphasis on reliability security and scalability.
• Guiding teams within the Graph ecosystem on best practices for deployment observability and scalability.
• Collaborating with other SREs and engineers to ensure our architecture and operations are exceptional.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with external vendor teams as needed.
• Learning oncall processes and systems managing triage resolution and coordination across teams and training team members to handle production issues.
• Participating in the oncall rotation.

What You Bring to the Table

• Previous experience as an experienced SRE and/or tech lead in the SRE/DevOps space
• Ability to work with engineering management to set priorities and objectives for the SRE team while also working alongside SREs to accomplish priority tasks
• Experience building and delivering largescale software systems
• Previous experience working with both bare metal infrastructure and cloud infrastructure (ideally GCP)
• Experience operating as an SRE with handson experience implementing processes that drive reliability and performance
• History of working across organizations to codify and implement best practices for both operation and optimization of software systems; knowledge of and ability to implement CI/CD best practices are considered a plus
• Deep working knowledge of Kubernetes (or other container orchestration systems) and associated technologies
• Clear communication skills (written and verbal) to document processes and architectures
